About LED Neon Signs
LED neon recreates the look of traditional glass neon using flexible LED strips inside a silicone or PVC diffuser. It's bent to follow your lettering or artwork and mounted on a cut acrylic backer. It's lighter, runs cooler and is less fragile than glass neon, which makes it a popular choice for interiors, window displays and photo walls.
Send us your words, logo or sketch and we'll prepare a design proof showing the layout, colors, backer shape and size. Many signs plug into a standard outlet through a low-voltage adapter, and some include a dimmer; we'll note the power setup for your sign on the spec sheet.
How it's built
Flexible LED neon tubing
Silicone or PVC diffused LED tubing creates a continuous, even line of light that mimics glass neon.
Acrylic backer
Mounted on clear, colored or printed acrylic, cut to a rectangle or to the shape of your design.
Wide color range
Choose from a broad range of standard colors, mix colors in one sign, or ask about RGB color-changing options.
Simple power
Many indoor signs use a low-voltage adapter that plugs into a standard outlet; dimmers are often available.
Lightweight and durable
No glass tubes or high-voltage transformers, so signs are lighter and easier to handle and hang than traditional neon.

How it looks
Switched off during the day, LED neon shows as white or tinted tubing on a clean acrylic backer. Switched on, it produces the bright, saturated line of color associated with classic neon, and it stays vivid even in well-lit interiors.

What to plan for
- LED neon is mostly used indoors. If your sign will be outdoors or in direct weather, tell us so we can specify an outdoor-rated build.
- Plan for a nearby outlet or a hardwired connection by a licensed electrician, depending on the power setup.
- Very small script lettering can blur together. Rule of thumb: keep individual letter strokes large enough to stay distinct, and size the sign for its viewing distance (about 1 inch of letter height per 10 feet).
- Window signs may be regulated by local sign codes or landlord rules. Check before installing.

LED Neon questions
All FAQsIs LED neon the same as glass neon?
No. LED neon uses LEDs inside a flexible diffuser to create a similar look. It's lighter and less fragile than glass neon and doesn't use high-voltage neon transformers.
Can I plug it into a wall outlet?
Many indoor LED neon signs connect to a standard outlet through a low-voltage adapter. Larger or outdoor signs may need to be hardwired by a licensed electrician.
How long do LED neon signs last?
LED components are typically rated by their manufacturers for tens of thousands of hours, though real-world life depends on use and environment. LED modules are covered by our 2 years (parts) warranty.
