Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you use our website, request a quote, and order a custom sign from us.

Last updated: 2026-10-11

1. Who we are and these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between Alamo City Initiatives LLC, doing business as IntelliSign ("we", "us", "our"), and you, the person or business using our website or ordering a sign from us ("you", "customer").

By using this website, requesting a quote, or approving a design proof, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and the policies linked below. If you are ordering on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that business. You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.

Our products and services are intended for business customers. If a written quotation or order confirmation includes terms that differ from these Terms, the written quotation or order confirmation controls for that order.

2. How we work

We sell custom LED channel letters, halo-lit (reverse-lit) letters, dimensional lettering, illuminated logos and LED neon signs to businesses in our service area (All 50 U.S. states).

Every sign is fabricated by our partner workshop to the exact design and specifications you approve. We own the design, the two approval checks, quality control, and your support from first sketch to delivery. Our manufacturing partner is located outside the United States. The partner prepares design proofs and mockups, manufactures orders after you approve them, and ships finished signs directly to you. We manage your quotation, sale, approvals and customer support, and we are your point of contact and the seller under these Terms. See How it works for an overview.

3. Quotations

  • Quotations are issued in writing (for example, by email or through our order portal) and are valid for 30 days unless the quotation states otherwise.
  • A quotation is based on the information, sizes, artwork and installation location you give us. If those change, the price, specifications or timeline may change and we will issue an updated quotation.
  • Prices and estimates given in conversation, on the website, or by our AI chat assistant are not binding. Only a written quotation issued by us is an offer to sell.
  • Shipping is quoted per order: Shipping is quoted separately on every order based on crate size, weight, and destination, and is shown on your quotation before you approve.
  • Unless your quotation says otherwise, quoted prices do not include installation, permits, electrical work or local taxes. Sales tax is added to your invoice where we are required to collect it.

4. The two approvals

Every order requires two separate approvals from you. Each approval is recorded against your specific order and the specific version you approved.

Approval 1: design proof and specifications

Before production, we send you a numbered design proof (for example, "Version 3") showing the design, dimensions, colors, materials, lighting type, mounting method and other specifications. Your quotation includes 2 rounds of design revisions.

When you approve a design proof, you confirm that you have checked it carefully and that it is correct, including:

  • spelling, wording, punctuation and phone numbers or web addresses;
  • colors, fonts, logos and layout;
  • overall and letter sizes, and that the sign fits your wall, fascia or space;
  • lighting type, mounting method, power and other specifications.

Approval of a design proof authorizes production of the sign exactly as shown in that version. We are not responsible for errors in an approved proof that you did not point out before approving it.

If you ask for changes, we issue a new numbered version that must be approved. Earlier versions are replaced and can no longer be approved.

Approval 2: completion video

When your sign is finished, we send you a video of the completed sign, usually within 1–2 business days of completion. Please review it carefully. Approving the video confirms that the sign matches your approved design and authorizes shipment. If the sign does not match your approved design, tell us before approving, and we will correct it before it ships.

How approvals are recorded

Approvals are given electronically. When you approve, we record the name you type, the date and time, your IP address, and a digital fingerprint (hash) of the exact proof or video you approved. This record is how we and you can confirm later exactly what was approved.

5. Your artwork and intellectual property

You may send us logos, trademarks, fonts, images or other artwork ("Customer Materials"). By doing so, you confirm that:

  • you own the Customer Materials or have permission (a license) to use them on a sign;
  • making and displaying the sign will not infringe anyone's trademark, copyright or other rights.

You give us and our manufacturing partner permission to use the Customer Materials only to quote, design, produce, ship and support your order. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Alamo City Initiatives LLC and its manufacturing partner from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Customer Materials or from your instructions.

We may decline any design we believe infringes someone else's rights or is unlawful. Design proofs we create remain our property until the order is paid in full. We will only show photos or video of your completed sign in our portfolio or marketing with your permission, and you can say no.

6. Payment and deposit

  • Payment terms: 50% deposit at design approval; balance due after you approve the completion video and before shipping.
  • Payment methods: Wire transfer or Zelle, paid against a written invoice. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not store your full card number.
  • Production does not begin until the deposit is received. Your sign does not ship until the balance is paid.
  • If payment is late, we may pause production or shipment and the timeline will move accordingly.

7. Production time estimates

Our typical timeline is: first design proof 1–3 business days for the first design proof; production 10–15 business days after design approval and deposit; shipping transit 5–10 business days after video approval. Rush production may be available on request — ask for a quote.

These are estimates, not guarantees. Timelines depend on approvals, payment, material availability, carrier schedules, customs and other factors. Unless we agree in writing to a firm delivery date, we are not liable for delays. Please do not schedule grand openings, installers or events that cannot move based on an estimate.

8. Shipping, risk of loss and title

Signs ship directly from our manufacturing partner to the address you give us. See our Shipping Policy for details, including how to inspect deliveries and the 48 hours window to report shipping damage.

Risk of loss passes to you when the sign is delivered to your shipping address. Title passes to you when we have received payment in full.

9. Import duties and taxes

Because signs are manufactured outside the U.S., orders are subject to import duties, tariffs and customs fees. We pay these and include them as a separate shipping & import line on your quotation, so there are no customs charges at delivery.

Shipping terms: DDP (duties paid): import duties, tariffs and customs brokerage are included in the shipping & import line of your quotation. Tariff rates and customs rules can change after a quotation is issued. If tariffs change before you approve your design, we update the quotation. After you approve the design and pay the deposit, we absorb any later tariff change on that order.

10. Installation and permits

Customers are responsible for installation, permits, landlord approvals, and electrical connection by a licensed electrician. We supply mounting templates, hardware where applicable, and installation guides, and we can help you find a local installer. Illuminated signs must be connected by a licensed electrician in accordance with local electrical codes.

We do not install signs and are not responsible for the work of installers or electricians you hire, for permit or landlord decisions, or for whether your sign complies with local sign codes. See Installation & Permits.

11. Cancellations and refunds

Every sign is custom-made. In summary:

  • You may cancel at any time before you approve the design and specifications for a full refund of any amount paid.
  • If you cancel after approving the design but before production starts, we keep a $250 design fee and refund the rest of your deposit. Once production has started, the sign is custom-made for you and the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Orders cannot be cancelled after you approve the completion video, because the sign has been finished to your approved specifications.
  • Because every sign is custom-made to your approved specifications, we cannot accept returns for change of mind, color preference, or size choices you approved.

Full details are in our Cancellations, Returns & Refunds policy.

12. Warranty

Signs come with a limited warranty: LED modules 2 years (parts), power supply 2 years (parts), structure and finish 1 year (parts). Exclusions, conditions and the claim process are set out in our Limited Warranty.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE ONLY WARRANTY WE GIVE, AND WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR COSTS OF DELAY, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE;
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO AN ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THAT ORDER;
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGE OR INJURY CAUSED BY INSTALLATION, ELECTRICAL WORK, MODIFICATION OR MISUSE BY YOU OR ANYONE YOU HIRE.

Some states do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

14. AI chat assistant

Our website offers a chat assistant powered by artificial intelligence. It can answer general questions and help collect your project details. Its answers are for general information only and may be incomplete or wrong. Prices, timelines and specifications it mentions are not quotations or promises. A quote is binding only when we issue it to you in writing. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat. How chat messages are handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Use of this website

  • Content on this website, including text, images, examples and design, belongs to us or our licensors. You may view it for your own business purposes but may not copy or reuse it without permission.
  • You agree not to misuse the website, for example by uploading malicious files, attempting to access systems without permission, scraping, or sending spam through our forms or chat.
  • Product photos, mockups and examples are illustrations. Your sign is made to your own approved design.
  • The website is provided "as is". We do not promise it will always be available or error-free.

16. Electronic communications and signatures

You agree to do business with us electronically. Under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act) and similar state laws, you agree that:

  • quotations, proofs, approvals, invoices, notices and other records may be provided to you electronically;
  • typing your name and clicking an approval button is your electronic signature and is as binding as a handwritten signature;
  • you are able to access and keep electronic records (for example, by email, download or printing).

You may ask for a paper copy of any record, or withdraw your consent to electronic records, by contacting us at sales@intellisignco.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect approvals already given, and we may be unable to continue an order without electronic approvals.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Dispute resolution: Contact us first and allow 30 days to resolve the issue informally; if it is not resolved, the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas. If you have a concern, please contact us first; most issues can be resolved quickly by talking it through.

18. General terms

  • Events outside our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as carrier or customs delays, natural disasters, port congestion, changes in law or trade restrictions, or supply shortages.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, the linked policies and your written quotation and approvals are the entire agreement for your order.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your order or these Terms without our written consent.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they last changed. The Terms in effect when you approve a design proof apply to that order.
